1-2 hours per week for 8 weeks starting 2nd week Oct. Day of week TBD based on volunteer availability. Mornings preferred from 7:45am to 8:50am. Student siblings welcome as needed. Code.org, Scratch 2, and other basic coding programs used. No programming expertise required. Will work with County IT professional, Ms. Georgia Baker.
2 hours total over 2 days per week for 8 weeks starting in October. Running program led by Mrs. Dibernadinas after school. Days and time to be listed shortly. Ends with final run at Annapolis High School. Practice program provided by county. Please list day and time for practice preference with your reply.
Girls on the Run
2 Coaches and 1 helper needed. Training for coaches provided by program at the end of August. 60-75 minutes per week for 8 weeks culminating with a Girls on the Run 5K including girls from all participating schools in the Greater Chesapeake Region.
Hero Boys running program
2 Coaches and 1 helper needed Training for coaches provided by program. 60-75 minutes per week for 8 weeks culminating with a HERO Boys 5K including boys from all participating schools.
Lego Robotics Fall session grades 3-5. 1 parent volunteer needed to work with Mrs. Sheila Norris to run the club. Meets Monday after school until 5pm for 8 weeks starting the first week in October.
Lego Robotics Spring session grades K-2. 1 parent volunteer needed to work with Mrs. Sheila Norris to run the club. Meets Monday after school until 5pm for 8 weeks starting the first week in February.
24 Club (math)
needs two volunteers to run the club for grades 3-5. It could be before or after school based on volunteer availability. Competition is in April and a teacher will be available to sponsor those that represent Hillsmere at the events. This would start at the end of October and run into the first week of April. Club meetings are 1.5 hours per week. Supplies and training are provided. Additional fingerprinting may be required to lead this club per county requirements.
Stage Support Set Building, prop construction, and costume creation volunteers needed!
Drama club starts in October and will run through to April 12th. A set for the performance along with props and costumes are needed. If anyone is willing to help a group of students build and create, we would love to have you! It could be an hour a week, a day on the weekend, morning hours, or evening hours. We are open to anyone who has the time, desire and passion to build and create! Additional fingerprinting may be required for this club per county requirements.
One parent volunteer to attend club meetings Wednesday mornings from 7:45am- 8:50am from mid October to the beginning of April. Specific dates to be listed shortly.
Recruit volunteers. Manage Track It Forward Volunteer tracking service. Approximately 2-4 hours per week. 95% at home position. May need to meet with teacher who is staff liaison to assist in obtaining volunteers for teachers and school events. This may be possibly 3-4 times per year for an hour and can be done by phone or in person. Duties outside of the home may include making copies of flyers to recruit volunteers and attending PTA meetings and events to recruit volunteers. This can be delegated if needed.
